How long should I spend here?

At least a week. Spend 1 day in Košice for the Christmas Markets and 6 days in the High Tatras (base yourself in either Tatranska Lomnica or Novy Smokovec).

When is the best time to visit?

If you want to visit the Christmas markets, do so in December. Otherwise, January and February are great months for snowy weather.

How do I get around?

There are public transportation options between Kosice (or Bratislava) and this region. You can also get between the mountain towns easily on the local train.

Kosice (only for the Christmas market), Vysoke Tatry, Novy Smokovec, Strbske Pleso, Tatranska Lomnica, and Poprad
